Omar Elmi is the Founder and President of DIVERTEK, a next-generation MSP and IT Academy based in Ottawa. With over a decade of experience in logistics, management, and technology, he specializes in digital transformation, IT strategy, and business process optimization.
He has forged strategic partnerships with CompTIA, Cisco Networking Academy, and Avaya connecting DIVERTEK learners and clients with global certifications and resources. Since launching DIVERTEK in 2022, Omar has empowered diverse professionals to earn international IT certifications, guided schools and startups in building digital pathways, and positioned DIVERTEK as a recognized career college.
Driven by a mission to close the diversity gap in technology, Omar is committed to building an inclusive digital ecosystem where talent thrives and technology creates opportunity for all.
Hamza Abdi is a seasoned IT professional with over 20 years of experience in information technology, including 7 years specializing in cybersecurity.
His core expertise includes firewall management, IT infrastructure, disaster recovery, and risk-based auditing. He is highly skilled in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practices using frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST 800-53, and ITSG-33.
Hamza has successfully led numerous security assessments and compliance audits, providing valuable insights into secure IT operations.
He is currently pursuing the Government of Canada’s SA&A certification through the Canadian Centre for Cybersecurity (CSE).
